POLICE are “studying CCTV” to gather extra information after two men stole a touring caravan in the Borders.
The incident at Thirlestane Caravan Park is believed to have happened at around 8.40pm on Monday (March 11).
Two men entered the caravan park in a large dark-coloured BMW with a registration number that begins with MW07, according to police.
A spokesperson said: “They left around 10 minutes later with a Swift Compass Connoisseur caravan. They headed northbound on the A68 at Lauder.
“One of the men is described as around 6ft in height with short, brown hair. He was wearing a long-sleeved, light-coloured top and blue jeans.
“Police attended and enquiries are ongoing into this theft. Officers are studying CCTV from in and around the local area to gather more information.
“Anyone with information that may assist this investigation should contact 101 quoting reference number 3549 of March 11, 2024. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
