A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested following a “disturbance” in Galashiels, according to police.
The incident reportedly happened shortly before 4.30pm on Tuesday (March 19) in the Gala Park area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said that enquiries were ongoing.
The spokesperson said: “We were called around 4.25pm on Tuesday, March 19, to a report of disturbance in the Gala Park area of Galashiels.
“Officers attended and the road was closed as a precaution. There was no risk to the wider public.
“A 22-year-old man was arrested and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
