A SECOND Borders funfair has been moved due to the wet weather.
The council announced earlier this week that the event in Peebles would be relocated due to safety fears over “awful” ground conditions.
Now the local authority has announced that plans have changed for Galashiels’ funfair.
“The funfair which was due to be located in the Public Park, Galashiels from April 11, will now be relocated,” said a Scottish Borders Council spokesperson.
“Due to the prolonged poor weather conditions, the Public Park is not suitable to host the funfair.
“The fair will go ahead, but it will now be located in Netherdale Car Park, Nether Road, Galashiels.”
