A YOUNG Borders dancer has secured a place to study at a prestigious dance school.
Eleven-year-old Caitlin Gray from Peebles has been chosen to join The Dance School of Scotland in Glasgow following a successful audition.
Caitlin, who is currently a pupil at Kingsland Primary School, will join The Dance School of Scotland full time after the summer holidays.
She will combine her secondary education with her full time dance tuition at the Glasgow school.
Caitlin is currently a pupil of the Fiona Henderson School of Dance (FHSD) where she studies Highland Dancing, modern, jazz, and ballet.
Sharing her pride over Caitlin's success, FHSD principal Fiona Henderson said: "I have taught Caitlin for many years, and it was very apparent at an early age that she had a passion for dance.
"Whilst we’re sad to say farewell, all of us at FHSD are tremendously proud and happy for Caitlin and we’re wishing her all the very the best and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.”
