WORKS to improve pedestrian and cycle access on a Borders road have been postponed over a potential clash with a summer festival.
An existing pedestrian crossing on the A7 Commercial Road in Hawick was set to be upgraded to a Toucan crossing under the plans.
The works, which had been due to start on May 6, were scheduled to take place over four weeks.
But they will now be rescheduled to avoid a possible clash with Hawick Common Riding, with a new date yet to be confirmed.
