MEMBERS of the community gathered last week to help keep Earlston litter-free.
Earlston Community Council, Earlston in Bloom, students completing their Duke of Edinburgh Awards with Earlston High School and local families came together to help tidy up the town.
Although the group faced changeable weather throughout the day, the annual spring clean event - organised by environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful - was a success.
Earlston in Bloom co-leads Norman Catto and Sheila Gibb said: "Thanks to everyone who took part and showed how important the environment was to them.
"Everyone enjoyed themselves and collected across the village in the sunshine but not so much the gale followed by numerous downpours."
