TWO people have been taken to hospital following a fire at a house in Selkirk, according to police.
The incident happened on Friday (April 26) evening.
Both occupants of the Kingsland Avenue property attended hospital as a precaution, officers added.
The fire is believed to have caused significant damage to the house.
A fundraiser set up by the local community has already smashed its £500 target.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.10pm on Friday, April 26, 2024, police were called to Kingsland Ave, Selkirk, following a report of a fire.
“Two people, both occupants, were taken to a local hospital as a precaution. The fire is not being treated as suspicious."
