A PRIMARY school in the Borders is at risk of closing.
A proposal to 'mothball' St Joseph's Primary School in Selkirk will be heard by Scottish Borders Council's (SBC) education sub-committee next month.
Following the sub-committee's meeting on Tuesday, June 18, the proposal will then be heard by a full council meeting where the school's fate will be decided.
An SBC spokesperson said: "A proposal report to mothball St Joseph’s PS is due to go to Education Sub Committee on June 18.
"After which it will be presented to full council to make a final decision."
The primary school, just off Back Row in the town, is a Catholic school and is part of the Archdiocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh.
