COMMUNITY leaders in Galashiels hope to bring a "stunning display of colour" to Bank Street this Christmas.
Judith Cleghorn, chair of the community council, said the lights were "cobbled together" last year, and the group had received "many complaints about the the poor display".
But it is hoped residents can get involved and help bring some festive cheer to the town this year.
Ms Cleghorn said: "Having new lights in Gala this year is pretty essential."
