COMPETITORS and spectators alike were blessed by sunshine at the Braw Lads’ Sports and Family Fun Day.
The Netherdale event is one of the highlights of any edition of the Galashiels summer festival.
Youngsters of the town represented their schools in the football festival and races on Sunday (June 23).
Attention then turned to the Principals’ Race. In a highly competitive field, it was Braw Lass Rebecca Grieve who took home first place and the gold medal.
Galashiels Town Band and Galashiels Ex-Service Pipe Band provided entertainment for all as part of a cracking day.
