AN employability programme has celebrated a 100 per cent success rate by ‘doing it differently’.

The Doing It Differently programme from Works+, a Galashiels-based charity, has helped participants secure positive destinations in employment, education, training or volunteering.

The eight-week programme offered group and one-to-one support as well as workshops and practical experience to help people achieve their goals.

Scott Wight, Works+ project manager said: “We are incredibly proud of our participants and their achievements.

“This success is a testament to their hard work, determination, and the unwavering support provided by our dedicated staff team, and partners.

“It is a true reflection of our mission to empower individuals to reach their full potential and create meaningful futures.”

Some participants in the programme secured full and part time work, some registered with higher education programmes and specialised training programmes, and others chose to give back to their communities through volunteering with local initiatives.

A spokesperson added: "Works+ would like to extend our gratitude to all the partners, funders, and businesses who have played a crucial role in this achievement.

"Their contributions have been instrumental in creating a supportive environment that fosters growth and success for young people living in the Scottish Borders.

"As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to continuing our work, expanding our reach, and ensuring that more and more young people have the opportunity to achieve their career aspirations."
