ON Saturday night the Volunteer Hall in Galashiels played host to the Battle of the Reivers.
It was a show of the finest local Muay Thai combatants against opponents from as far as Aberdeen and Ayr in an entertaining evening of martial arts.
Students from the Borders’ Muay Thai organisation, taught by Toby Douglas, Tony Glover and Mark Amos, displayed their skills in front of an electric and vocal sell-out crowd.
The fighters themselves were true sportspeople and showed ability and fitness.
Not only were there novice fights but there was a pro am encounter and a title shot on the card too.
Organisers will be hoping the next event from the Borders Muay Thai club is just as electric.
