A FORMER village schoolhouse in Tweeddale could be sub-divided to provide two new homes, if a planning bid is successful.
An application has been submitted to Scottish Borders Council to carry out the work at Glenholm schoolhouse in Broughton.
The proposal is to divide the single property into two residential properties by demolishing a link corridor.
It is also intended to convert an existing attic into a habitable space, including three bedrooms and en-suite bathroom, with skylights added to front and rear elevations, and with an existing gable window to be enlarged.
Formerly the village schoolhouse and, more recently, a popular guest house, the original stone built dwelling dates back to 1690 and was extended in the late 1990s.
