TOURISM in the Borders has received a shot in the arm after two campsites were named among the best in the UK.
Campsites.co.uk has just revealed its annual 150 Outstanding Sites in the UK, as named by experts.
One of the sites highlighted was Rubberslaw Wild Woods Camping set in 500 acres of unspoilt, beautiful upland in Denholm, Hawick.
You can camp in an Edwardian walled garden, experience assisted wild camping under soaring trees or snuggle up and glamp in the rustic comfort of tranquil safari tents.
Campers are clearly huge fans too, with the site gaining a 4.9 star rating on their travel listing, with 100 per cent saying they would recommend the site.
Guests continue to leave huge praise with comments including “Ruberslaw ticked all the boxes. It’s so well run and staff are so helpful” and “Wow, what a great stay. Amazing location, can’t fault it”.
Wiling on a Whim in West Linton also made the list, receiving an outstanding 5 star review score with 100 per cent of people saying they would recommend the site.
