A HEITON motorist drove towards a group of pedestrians, failed to slow down and caused them to take evasive action, Jedburgh Sheriff Court has been told.
Forty-eight-year-old Robin Hart, of Main Street, was initially charged with dangerous driving but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of careless driving at Ladyrig Farm, near Heiton, on New Year’s Day.
He was fined £675 with a £40 victim surcharge and his licence endorsed with four penalty points.
