A BORDERS attraction is celebrating its fifth anniversary.
The Jim Clark Motorsport Museum has been welcoming visitors for the past five years after opening its doors in 2019.
And to celebrate the museum is hosting an action-packed family fun day and turning back the clock on admission prices.
On Saturday, August 17 the museum in Duns will see a number of exciting activities for guests, including a brand new racing simulator, the Jim Clark Challenge.
There will also be a tyre-changing competition where the fastest times can win prizes.
There will also be a range of arts and crafts and a Scalextric set.
Kenneth McLean, the learning and engagement officer with Live Borders, said: “The Jim Clark Motorsport Museum opened in 2019 and has been a critical success, very popular with our visitors.
"This is going to be a day of fun activities with something for everyone, and we hope to see many people in the museum on the day.”
The Jim Clark Museum tells the story of motorsport legend Jim Clark.
The double Formula One champion is the only driver to have won the World Championship and the Indianapolis 500 in the same season.
Three cars are currently on display in the museum: the D-Type Jaguar, the first purpose-built racing car Jim Clark drove; a Lotus Cortina raced successfully in the British Saloon Car Championship; and a Lotus 38, adapted for the Indianapolis 500 race in 1967.
For the family fun day, and for one day only, the museum will be open with tickets set at their original 2019 price.
On Saturday, August 17 adults can access the museum for £5, concessions for £4.50, children for £2.50, family tickets will be £15, and children under five go free.
The Jim Clark Motorsport Museum will be open from 10am to 4.30pm.
