A HAWICK man who admitted two drugs offences has received a 14-day prison sentence at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Forty-one-year-old Tristan McCuaig pleaded guilty to possession of 111 Diazepam tablets worth £111 and a small amount of cannabis at his Lothian Street home on November 2.
After hearing McCuaig was currently in custody on another matter and likely to be there until Christmas, Sheriff Peter Paterson fined him £400 and with no time requested to pay imposed the alternative of a fortnight's jail.
