A 28-YEAR-OLD man who admitted sending a film of a woman in an intimate situation via social media to another man has been placed on supervision for the next eight months at Selkirk Sheriff Court.

Jonathan Williamson, who gave an address in Darcy Terrace, Mayfield, pleaded guilty to the offence designed to cause the woman fear and alarm or distress.

The film was sent to the man from Peebles between March 13 and April 2 last year.

A not guilty plea to sending the man unwanted messages and voicemails and uttering threats of violence and derogatory remarks was previously accepted by the Crown.
