A JEDBURGH man who admitted assaulting his wife of 43 years has been placed on a year-long sentence deferred for good behaviour order at the town’s sheriff court.
Sixty-three-year-old John Lightbody pleaded guilty to the offence which happened at their home in Lanton Road on June 17.
The case will recall on August 11, 2025.
