TWO children were among four people to be taken to hospital following a crash in the Borders.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A699 near Bowden at around 2.40pm this afternoon (Sunday).
One woman, aged 35, was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment; and a 36-year-old man and two children were also taken as a precaution.
Police also say a man, aged 20, has been charged in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.40pm on Sunday, August 25, we were called to a report of a two-car crash on the A699 near Bowden.
"Emergency services attended and one woman, aged 35 was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment, a man, aged 36 and two children, aged eight and 14, were taken as a precaution.
"Recovery has been arranged.
"One man, aged 20, will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for a road traffic offence."
