A GALASHIELS care home passed muster during a recent visit by the Care Inspectorate.
Waverley Care Home, at Elm Row, provides care to a maximum of 25 adults, including older people.
An unannounced inspection to the home was completed on October 7.
The service is provided by Scottish Borders Council.
It was found that people experienced “warmth, kindness, consideration and respect” in how they were supported and cared for.
Health and well-being was monitored well, although personal plans “needed some improvement”.
Staff levels were appropriate and the manager demonstrated understanding of what improvements were needed, including better self-evaluation.
The home was rated ‘good’ in six categories, including leadership, its staff team and its setting.
