A newly-formed group of independent health professionals across the Borders aims to improve care across the region.
The group gathered for the first-ever Borders Independent Health Professionals Network event on August 20 at the Borders Hearing Care facility.
It saw the participation of 12 independent health professionals across the region, including specialities in fields such as physiotherapy, audiology, chiropractic, occupational therapy, mobility aids, speech and language, and podiatry.
The network intends to forge a community dedicated to the betterment of the health and well-being of the people they serve across the Borders, and fostering cooperation among healthcare professionals.
The group's goal is to establish seamless referral pathways, aid professional networking, and promote continuous growth in healthcare practices.
It also aims to provide every community individual with high-quality, accessible, and compassionate care.
Shared ideas and established connections at the meeting may lead to new opportunities and generate improved outcomes for the region, including a free public health information-sharing day.
