A SELKIRK woman who admitted charges of child neglect and failing to meet the needs of three dogs required by good practice has been ordered to be of good behaviour for 12 months.
Thirty-two-year-old Shelley Brunton, of Raeburn Meadow, pleaded guilty at the town’s sheriff court to the offences which happened between December 2022 and July 16, 2023.
She admitted failing to provide a clean environment in her home for the children and dogs who were exposed to hazards such as dog urine and faeces.
Sentence was deferred at Selkirk Sheriff Court until September 2025.
