RESPECT for each other is at the heart of a Borders nursery which has been praised in an inspection report.
Coldingham Primary School Nursery in School Road is registered to provide a care service to a maximum of 20 children not yet of an age to attend primary school.
The nursery is part of the primary school in the small rural village.
A representative of the Care Inspectorate paid an unannounced visit to the nursery on August 20.
The findings were that the children there were cared for in a “warm, nurturing environment” and were supported to develop “confidence, individuality and respect for each other”.
Children’s health and well-being was enhanced through significant daily access to outdoor play and they benefited from a “committed” team who were “passionate about providing high quality care and support”.
The facility received ‘very good’ ratings across the board – for its care, play and learning, its setting, leadership and staff team.
The service is provided b Scottish Borders Council.
