A 32-YEAR-OLD woman who admitted assaulting a woman has been fined £200 and ordered to pay her victim £100 in compensation.
Jodie Turnbull, of King Street, Galashiels, pleaded guilty to the offence which happened near the steps to Honeylees Drive, Tweedbank, on November 13 last year.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court heard how she approached the woman and pushed her to the ground before kicking her a number of times on the body.
She was also fined another £200 with £30 in victim surcharges for contacting a named woman in defiance of a court order.
A two-year non-harassment order was imposed preventing Turnbull from having any contact with the woman.
