Selkirk Sheriff Court
A 55-YEAR-OLD man from Edinburgh who stole a laptop and watch during a break-in at a house in Galashiels has been fined a total of £740 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Gary Hobbins previously admitted the offence, which happened at the town’s Thistle Court, on June 16 last year.
He also admitted his involvement in the theft of a car, and other items, at another address in Langholm.
Sheriff Peter Anderson warned Hobbins he was getting off lightly due to difficulties he is having with his health.
