BUSINESSES can pitch for work tenders at a meeting in Galashiels later this month.
Together with headline partners Scottish Borders Council, the Supplier Development Programme (SDP) has announced the third Meet the Buyer South event will take place on Tuesday, October 29 at the Volunteer Hall.
Suppliers will be able to meet procurement teams from local authorities in the South of Scotland, alongside other public and private sector buying organisations, and can also find out how to become ‘tender ready’ for bid writing for these many opportunities through free training from the SDP.
Among those set to attend are representatives of SBC, Scottish Government, Dumfries and Galloway, East Lothian and Midlothian councils, Balfour Beatty, Eildon Housing Association, Scottish Borders Housing Association and Waverley Housing Association.
Meet the Buyer South aims to help local businesses find out what contract opportunities are available both within the councils, local supply chains, and further afield across a range of sectors.
The event is aimed at sole traders, micro, small and medium sized businesses, supported businesses and third sector organisations, but it is open to businesses of all sizes.
This event is an opportunity to introduce your organisation and explain what goods, services or works you can offer to the public and private sector.
