PLANS have been revealed to convert a former care home in the Borders into three residential flats.
Listed Building consent is being sought by Glasgow-based Graisley Properties Ltd from Scottish Borders Council for the work at historic Trafalgar House in Guards Road, Coldstream.
The proposals reflect the current state of deterioration in the house which has required the down taking of internal wall finishes and additional internal walls which were found to be structurally unstable.
At first floor level the ceiling structure and roof structure required replacement due to rot infestation.
New partitions will be formed in the location as part of the works.
The existing building is an 1830s two-storey stone category B listed structure with a slated roof.
The house was previously used as a care home with two single storey extensions to the north and west side elevations which were demolished in 2003.
