A PEEBLES business has been nominated for a national award next month.
Castle Warehouse is up for a gong at The Stars Best Shop Awards 2024.
The ceremony organised by Underlines magazine, a lingerie trade magazine, recognises excellence in lingerie, swimwear and legwear from retailers in the UK with similar awards in Italy, Germany and the USA.
A spokesperson for Castle Warehouse said: “It’s great to be recognised for our expert knowledge and skill at bra fitting, which is something we’re very passionate about.
“It is still estimated that 80 per cent of women are wearing the wrong size which can lead to a whole host of problems including back, neck and shoulder pain, red marks, scarring, and even blocked lymph nodes under your arms.”
The family-run department store was established more than 125 years ago and offers a wide range of lingerie and a bra fitting service.
The shop offers the town a range of products including soft furnishings, clothing and accessories.
The awards ceremony will take place in London’s Plaisterers Hall on November 14, with director Anna Young and department head and lingerie buyer Catherine Tait attending the event.
The awards are known as the “Oscars of the Lingerie Industry’ within the industry, initial nominations took place in May with Castle Warehouse making it through to the finals with votes from the jury.
Castle Warehouse are among big names such as Harrods, Selfridges and John Lewis to be nominated in categories for the finals.
