A 45-YEAR-OLD man drove to Hawick Police Station to speak to officers in connection with other issues when it emerged he was a disqualified driver, Jedburgh Sheriff Court has been told.
Richard Lee said he was unaware he had been banned from driving in Dorset in 2023 but checks found he was banned until 2027.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while disqualified in Wilton Hill, Hawick, on January 10.
Lee of Wellfield Road, Hawick, received another ban totalling four years and was fined £500 with £40 victim surcharge.
