TWO roads in a Borders town are to close for “essential” carriageway repair works, according to the council.
Kelso’s Woodmarket and Horsemarket are due to shut in the coming weeks.
Woodmarket will close from 9am on October 28 to 4pm on November 1, Scottish Borders Council says.
An alternative route will be available via the Square, Bridge Street, Maxwellheugh, Station Road, A698 and Shedden Park Road.
Horsemarket will be closed from 9am on November 4 to 4pm on November 8.
Motorists will be able to use an alternative route via Rose Lane, Shedden Park Road, the A698, B6352 Station Road and Bridge Street.
