BORDERS Pet Rescue is appealing for a new home for 'King of the Cattery' Jasper.

He is a three-year-old ginger and white domestic long-haired cat.

Jasper likes the finer things in life including having plenty of space, naps and the best food.

The charity said: “Jasper is seeking a home where his royal needs will be understood—patience and respect are key to winning his trust.

"He may dream of a castle, but a quiet, peaceful abode with a safe space to call his own will suit him just fine.

“Once he’s settled into his new realm, you’ll find yourself with a loyal and dignified companion, worthy of any kingdom.”

He requires some time to trust people but once you have gained his trust he will grant you the privilege of petting him.

He would like to be the only cat in the household, with no dogs or children and needs access to outdoors and an owner experienced with cats.
