A 65-YEAR-OLD man has been convicted of a historical sex offence against a young girl following a two-day jury trial at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Archibald Hartdegen was found guilty by a unanimous verdict of lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour towards the youngster at an address in the Borders.
Sentence has been deferred on Hartdegen, who gave an address in Derby, until November 19 for the production of background reports.
