BOOZE will soon be on the menu at a cafe and farm shop in West Linton, Scottish Borders Licensing Board agreed today, Friday, October 25.
An application was received from Margaret Randall of Whitmuir Farm to grant a license to sell alcohol at the premises.
She told the board members: “There’s a bit of demand in the community for the farm shop to sell alcohol and we think it makes a slightly better offering in the cafe if there is an option to have a glass of wine with a meal.”
Board member councillor David Parker said: “I know the business well, I’ve been a couple of times and actually the last time I was there I was surprised they did not have that offering in the cafe given that similar bushinesses throughout the Borders do, so this would seem a very sensible thing to back and it’s certainly a well-run business.”
Members unanimously agreed the premises licence application.
