A BISTRO-STYLE eatery overlooking Selkirk town square has been given licence to expand its offer.
Tibbie’s consists of a bar, drinking/dining seated area, kitchen, storage area and toilet.
Approval has now been granted by the Scottish Borders Licensing Board for the premises to sell alcohol and for a seated outside pavement area with three tables seating a maximum of nine customers.
Applicant Ewa Przemyska said: “We started Tibbie’s because we didn’t like to see empty premises in such a prime location and it has been going really well and we have received lots of support from the local community, residents and tourists.
“It does make sense for us to be a cafe during the day and a tapas bar in the evening and we would love to get the licence so we can offer wine and cocktails and everything else.”
