Scottish Borders Council has launched an interactive map on its website for residents to report road defects.
The map will allow residents to view and report any road defects within the region.
Submitted reports can include pictures and contact information and users can receive real-time updates on the status of the report made.
The new feature the council have said will “streamline the reporting of road defects in the Scottish Borders”.
The interactive map feature is now live.
The map can be used to plot the exact location of a road defect.
Issues the new feature allows to report include: potholes, flooding, fences/barriers, kerbs, road markings, damaged road verges and slabs and blocks.
The council says it is currently working to ensure that all reported defects are included on the map.
