A Borders art club's annual exhibition has returned with a new twist.

This year, the Hawick Art Club's open exhibition has adopted a winter theme, showcasing works of art in various styles and mediums.

The Winter Exhibition brings together a diverse array of paintings, drawings, textiles, and more, highlighting the creativity of the local art community.

It will run from Friday, November 8 until Saturday, November 30 and tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children over eight.

The exhibition will be open from 11am till 3pm, Friday to Monday as it is closed from Tuesday to Thursday.

Vanda Mercer, Hawick Art Club's president, said: "Hawick Art Club is looking forward to holding their November exhibition in the Scott Gallery, partnering and benefiting from the expertise of Live Borders.

"We're hoping for a wonderful autumn to encourage as many of the community to view our work as possible."

The exhibition presents a perfect opportunity to find inspiration or purchase gifts for art lovers.

Most pieces are for sale, along with a selection of cards and other items.

Attendees are also invited to vote for their favourite artwork during their visit.

On Friday, November 15, artist in residence, Emma Jolly, will be hosting an animal drawing workshop at Hawick Museum from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

The workshop will provide participants with the chance to learn how to draw animals using soft pastels.

The session is open to children aged eight and above and adults, catering to both beginners and those wishing to enhance their skills.

Places for the workshop are limited, so people are encouraged to book through the Live Borders' website.

More information about the exhibition and other activities can also be found on the website.
