Dawid Thamm, who is 29, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of the Class A drug with intent to supply, at his home in Ruberslaw Road between November 2019 and January 2022.
The court heard 125 grammes of the drug with a potential street value of £10,400 was found at the property.
A small amount of cannabis was also recovered.
Thamm claimed the cocaine was bought in large amounts to feed his addiction at the time and also to supply to friends.
He was given a two-year Community Payback Order with 200 hours unpaid work and a night time home curfew for the next six months, between 8pm and 6am, as an alternative to custody.
