PEEBLES youngsters are set to kick off their Sunday shoes with a production of Footloose next year.
Stardust Performance Arts, a group based in the town, announced it had secured the rights to perform the musical in March.
Crowds can tap their toes with hit numbers including ‘Let’s Hear It for the Boy’, ‘Holding out for a Hero’ and, of course, ‘Footloose’.
Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.
This youth edition has been adapted for stage by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, and is based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford.
Music is by Tom Snow, lyrics by Mr Pitchford with additional music by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins and Jim Steinman.
With auditions already completed, the young Stardust performers are busy learning their lines, dance routines and the all-important songs.
Tickets are on sale from the Eastgate Theatre box office.
