The project team behind the Tweed Valley Tourism BID has invited all business members and local communities to a pre-ballot drop-in event.
This will take place at the Go Tweed Valley Visitor Information Centre in Peebles on November 21 from 3pm to 7pm.
The team, backed by a board of directors representing various tourism interests in the area, hopes to secure a second, five-year term of the Tourism BID.
The renewal ballot is set to begin on December 5.
In October, Go Tweed Valley, the public face of the Tourism BID, presented their BID proposals and 2025-2030 business plan to the Scottish Government and Scottish Borders Council.
Both bodies expressed their 'full support' for the continuation of the initiative in the Tweed Valley.
Rich Rowe, Go Tweed Valley project manager, said: "Guided by the priorities of the tourism sector, we have made great strides in building the area’s identity as a compelling place to visit but are conscious that we are only just getting started.
"We believe that the Tweed Valley has all the ingredients to become a world-class activity destination with a year-round offer that also brings richness to the lives of all who live here.
"For us, what that means is ensuring that every element of the tourism offer – from services and experiences to infrastructure – is the very best it can be.
"That has to be the ambition."
The 2025-2030 business plan outlines key priorities shaped by extensive consultation with Tourism BID businesses.
A recurring theme was the need for 'improved infrastructure', particularly public toilets, bike facilities, parking, and transport.
Other priorities include enhanced marketing and promotion, business support and advocacy, and a more coherent calendar of events throughout the year.
These four areas will be 'central' to the Tourism BID’s workstream over the next five years if a successful Yes vote is achieved.
Charlie Leckie of Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels, owner of Peebles Hydro, The Park Peebles, and Glentress Forest Café, said: "Go Tweed Valley has done an excellent job of shining a spotlight on the region, showcasing all that we have to offer from a tourism perspective.
"This exposure has significantly benefited local businesses, including our hotels and café."
The pre-ballot drop-in event on November 21 will provide an opportunity for all participating tourism businesses and Tweed Valley communities to learn more about the renewal ballot process.
