A 48-YEAR-OLD man has pleaded guilty to a drug dealing charge following the discovery of a cannabis cultivation in Galashiels.

Petrit Musta, described as a prisoner, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.

Prosecutor Drew Long told Selkirk Sheriff Court the value of the drugs found at the former Ladbrokes store in Channel Street, Galashiels on March 26 was well in excess of one million pounds.

Sheriff Peter Paterson deferred sentence until December 3 for the production of background reports.

Musta – who did not appear in court – remains remanded in custody.
