TWO new state-of-the art Borders schools are set for completion before the end of next year.
Construction of the new Peebles High School and Galashiels Academy will both be completed by September 2025, senior councillors were informed at a meeting today on Tuesday, November 12.
The 2024/25 Financial Plan approved borrowing of £75m for 2024/25 largely to support the investment in the new schools as well as the completion of Earlston Primary School.
Members of SBC’s executive committee were also informed that the handover from the contractor of the new Earlston Primary School is expected in January 2025.
