CHILDREN are in safe hands at an after-school service in Selkirk, an inspection has deemed.
An unannounced visit to Selkirk Out of School Club based at Knowepark School in Curror Street was completed by October 16 by the Care Inspectorate.
The after-school care and holiday club is registered to provide care to a maximum of 30 children.
The report found that children were “happy, confident and settled” in the service and that they were able to lead their own play and learning.
Children also benefited from access to outdoors and from a “skilled team who worked well together”.
The service was rated ‘very good’ in three categories – quality of care, play and learning, its setting and its staff team and ‘good’ for its leadership.
