AN INNERLEITHEN man who admitted assaulting a 16-year-old male will be sentenced in the new year.
Twenty-two-year-old Thawatchai Boonmee pleaded guilty to a charge of assault to injury by throwing the teenager to the ground and causing him to strike his head on concrete.
Sentence was deferred until the outcome of the trial of coaccused Alastair Dahill, 38, from Innerleithen, who maintained his plea of not guilty to a charge of assault to injury.
The trial has been fixed for January 9 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
