A JOINT application seeks permission to build two houses in Galashiels on private land.
The proposed development, at the top of Dean Street, aims to utilise existing infrastructure, using a space that is used as an allotment/garden by the two existing adjacent properties.
The proposal has been submitted to the council for planning permission in principle, meaning more detailed plans will follow if initial consent is granted.
Each plot is currently under separate ownership, with the west plot having access to a garage.
The east plot's garage has been demolished.
The application promises adherence to local development policies and environmental standards.
