THE Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland will perform in Peebles.
The concert, part of an autumn tour, will be held at Peebles Old Parish Church on Friday, December 6, at 7pm.
The tour is in support of the Armed Forces charity Poppyscotland.
The band, known for its performances at Holyrood Palace and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, has already played in Livingston and Inverness.
It is led by Major Brenden Wheeler, the band's director of music.
The tour is a collaboration with Hawick's Alan Brydon, a folk musician and songwriter.
Tickets for the concert are priced at £17, with a concession rate of £14, and can be purchased from the Poppyscotland website - www.poppyscotland.org.uk
The concerts will feature a mix of traditional and contemporary pieces, including ‘The Poppy Song’ and ‘Sounds of Scotland’, composed by the band and Alan Brydon for this tour.
Gordon Michie, head of fundraising and learning at Poppyscotland, said: "We are grateful to the Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland for their unwavering and committed support to Poppyscotland.
"Their performances are always something special and truly deserving of their international acclaim.
"We look forward to going on the road with them once again, visiting some of the towns and cities that give tremendous support to our Armed Forces community."
All profits for the event will be used to fund Poppyscotland’s ongoing work supporting the Armed Forces community, including help with housing, debt, mental health, and mobility.
For example, £15 can provide food for a day for a homeless veteran in urgent need.
