A MAN who admitted a drug-driving offence has been banned from the road for one year at Selkirk Sheriff Court.

Darius Golebiowski, 36, was travelling back from Hawick to his home in Kenilworth Avenue, Galashiels, when he was stopped by police.

They detected a smell of cannabis and a drug swipe test confirmed this.

He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £300 with a £20 victim surcharge.
