A TEENAGER who smashed two shop windows in Eastgate, Peebles, has been ordered to pay £600 in compensation.
Nineteen-year-old Cameron Sinclair, from Peebles, pleaded guilty to striking the windows of Forsyth’s the butchers and the Save the Children charity shop on June 20.
Selkirk Sheriff Court was told Sinclair had lost his temper after another youth had smashed the window of the public house he had been drinking in.
In addition to the compensation order he was fined £100 with a £10 victim surcharge.
