Selkirk Sheriff Court
BACKGROUND reports have been ordered at Selkirk Sheriff Court into a 22-year-old man who assaulted another man to his severe injury with a kitchen utensil.
Jun Jie Chen pleaded guilty to striking the man on the head at Okome – a Japanese restaurant – in High Street, Galashiels, on Braw Lads’ Day.
Sentence was deferred until January 6 for the production of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and a Restriction of Liberty Order assessment.
