A MAN has been charged in connection with the discovery of a large cannabis cultivation in the Borders.
Police found the drugs on an industrial estate on Eyemouth's Coldingham Road on Thursday (November 28) during a search.
The cultivation was estimated by officers to have a street value of £900,000.
A 47-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the discovery and is due to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court today.
Detective Sergeant Barry Roebuck said: "We know the misery that drug misuse can cause in our local communities and we work tirelessly to tackle this issue and disrupt the drugs trade in Scotland.
“This significant recovery underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
“Information from the public is vital and anyone with information regarding drugs in their local area should contact us through 101. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
